Marielle MacLeman

Born in Scotland, Marielle MacLeman studied Drawing and Painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, and relocated from Glasgow to Galway in 2011. Working across mixed media wall-based work, object-making and site-specific installation her practice includes working in healthcare.

She has exhibited in the UK, Ireland and Italy and has received awards from The Scottish Arts Council (2002, 2006, 2010), Glasgow City Council (2003), The Arts Council of Ireland (2011), Galway City Council (2011) and a Per Cent for Art public art commission (2012). Residencies include Galway Arts Centre (2011) and The James Mitchell Geology Museum and The Zoology and Marine Biology Museum, NUI Galway (2012).
